Thinking about posturing myself, and preparing to spend some real time with the Lord this afternoon, I was reminded(by itunes) of a song that I used to play regularly in the War Room (which doesn't look like this picture anymore!) back in Vancouver.
At times when I would go in to do a shift alone, I would feel overwhelmed - where do I start? what/who do I pray for first? Eventually I found that posturing myself and preparing my heart for the 3 hour shift was vital.
There is a song that I found particularly helpful in preparing myself to give and receive - I played this song at the beginning of almost every shift I did for months - no matter what time of the day or night it was! I would sing loudly, dance, clap, cry out...I would Praise the Lord!
Now as I am about to prepare myself for some intimate time with the Lord, I thought about that song and the many memories that now come along with it(like sharing it with my squad at 3am while dancing around the room and tripping over someones foot!!!).
I was wishing that I had it to listen to once again when....voila....there it is on itunes here at the Corps(church) and is now on my ipod.
I don't usually share lyrics, since I know that many people will just pass over them as meaningless. Its ok if you(and you all know who you are) do that today because honestly, these are words more for me right now than anyone. However, if you do take the time to puruse them, let them sink deep. YHWH wants to meet with you right now.
I'm here to meet with youblessings.
come and meet with me
I'm here to find you
reveal yourself to me
As I wait, you make me strong
As I long, draw me to your arms
As I stand and sing your praise
You come, you come and you fill this place
Won't you come, Won't you come and fill this place
I'm here to meet with you
Come and meet with me
I'm here to find you,
reveal yourself to me
As I wait, you make me strong
As I long, draw me to your arms
As I stand and sing your praise
You come, you come and you fill this place
Won't you come, Won't you come and fill this place
I'm here to meet with you
Come and meet with me
