Goodbyes

I hate goodbyes and I feel as if I've had to say many of them in the past few months. Goodbye to my old job, goodbye to friends and family as I left for the summer, goodbye to my team members and fellow leaders, and now today goodbye to my good friend as we prepare to depart for various parts of the country, and next week to everyone as I depart for Vancouver. I hate goodbyes.
Today was particularly hard because D really is one of my closest friends and we don't really know when we're going to see each other again...that's the saddest part for me. The great part though, is that we are both doing what God has called us to for this time in our lives, and I am proud of us for that.

I thank God for all my wonderful friends, near and far. I love them all.
