Good, real, loving, honest, long-lasting, all around amazing friendships can be hard to come by these days. Thankfully, I am blessed to have so many people who seem to fall into all those category's mentioned above(the lovely RoRo as you see to the right is only one of them!). Last week I started reading a book with a group of intercessors at my Corps. The first chapter speaks mostly of personal intimacy and friendship with the Lord being the key to intercession.
Then yesterday, I was asked in an e-mail if I've been spending much time seeking God for the sake of seeking him. My friend reminded me of some great times of intimacy that I have had with the Lord. Although I haven't had many times like that recently, I have been craving it.
Before heading to bed last night, I plopped myself into the bean bag chair in my apartment, turned on some tunes, closed my eyes and sat in God's presence. It was amazing.
"My dove is hiding behind the rocks, behind an outcrop on the cliff.The Lord was telling me to com out of my hiding, He is seeking my face, my voice, my time. Everything else would come if I only came out. Is He seeking yours? When was the last time you sought Him out just to do so?

Good friendship doesn't get any better than this.

times with the Lord are great.... def lacking in my life, thats for sure. you think with 9 hrs in the war room a week i could get my act together, but i cant seem to. it kinda sucks. thanks for your post.
