The water in Vancouver is dirty. Dirty enough that we cannot drink it for the risk of getting e-coli or just spending a lot of time on a toilet(or hovered over one!)!!
So this morning I got up to be at work for 5:15am only to find out that we, of course, aren't serving any coffee or hot drinks. I stood around explaining to people that water goes through the system with the espresso and that steam = water!! Funny. I got to come home at 8:15, because really, why would they need all those barista's standing around doing nothing?!
It felt at that point that I had barely had time to wake up - so what did I do? Came home and took a nap! A Looooonnngggggg nap! It was nice. I don't usually nap after work. I attempt to keep myself awake all day so that I can go to bed on time in the evening and actually sleep through. Usually that works.
Booked my ticket home for Christmas...well, home before I head to Maine. Dec. 18th is the day and I am looking forward to a time of relaxing, not waking at 4am, and seeing family and friends.
Looks like I didn't have anything profound to say. oh well.
Blessings.

i think that you taking a nap in the middle of the day and feeling good about it is VERY profound. Maybe more people need naps.
