Firstly - Happy Birthday to my sister, Ellen!
When you are 40 you'll get a party, I promise. LOL!!! ;)

Today I was reminded of how beautiful snow is. Watching it fall and gather on the trees, hearing the crunch underfoot, building snowmen, and taking the time to throw it at friends(especially those who are from countries that don't usually see snow!). Its been snowing for a few hours and seems to be sticking in various parts of the city - not the DTES, though. We aren't at a high enough elevation. Here it has turned into rain, as usual.
I was also reminded today that I do not own a winter coat. Actually, that thought has been in my head for a few weeks, but today when I was actually feeling the cold and wanting a coat it sunk in. Pulling out my winter 'dress' coat, I put it on and immediately took it off - its now at least 2 sizes too big and looks like a tent. One less thing for me to pack!!! I'm sure I can find someone down here who needs a nice coat. In the mean time I am in need one.

Lastly, farewell to my dear friend, Jacytna. She leaves tomorrow to head home to Australia for a couple of months, and when she arrives back in Vancouver I will already have moved south. You may never read this, but I'll say it anyway...You are a pleasure to be around. You bring joy to my life, a smile to my face, and love to my heart. I am so happy to call you my friend and sister. Keep gaining and using that authority girl! I love you.
