Of the BED BUGS!!

Seriously, if you thought they were just something eluded to when saying goodnight to your mom as a child("don't let the bed bugs bite"), you were SO wrong!!
For the past 3 years, War College students have been fighting off these pesky critters and so far its been a win/lose battle.
I heard one student say last week that she was a "living sacrifice!" Yeah, she had at least 20 bites on her legs.
My friend Kir(see War College blogs) has been eaten up since moving into our apartments, and then there is Joe - who now has my old room. Apparently, there was a little nest of them living on this board that was a make shift box spring. Well, the nest hatched and he has been bitten ALL over! He says that there are 75 bites on one foot alone(although his are small in size, they are great in number).

I don't say all this to make you sad for us, or send any pity. I say this so that you can pray that the infestation will stop soon! Joe seems to have managed to kill them all by steaming his mattress for a long time...hopefully it worked and they stay away.

Sleep tight...and don't let the bed bugs bite!!

Blessings.

oh and fyi - I haven't had a single bite in the year that I've been in Vancouver. They don't seem to like me. ;)

Bed Bugs huh? I am itchy all of a sudden!
Tell Joe that apparently Benadryl will take the itch out....or so I have heard.
Good thing you got out of your room before they hatched!

Yeah, i am itchy too...ick!! Aww poor Joe! I agree with Ellen, tell Joe to take Benadryl. It will take away the itch (it works for allergies, so it might work for an itch from bed bugs)

I am glad that you haven't been bit and I hope you don't. That is kind of scary to be bit by bed bugs.
