Youth Councils

Had the priveledge to attend the Northern New England youth councils this past weekend - and what a priveledge it was! God's presence was there every step of the way and He became real to so many people over these few short days.
There were times through out the weekend when I felt that Holy Spirit was so alive and present that I was going to bust - and that the teens were going to bust...SO close to breakthrough on a few occasions. But things happened and the spirit was pushed down for various reasons.
However there is no stopping God when He has a plan, Praise the Lord! Sunday morning came, and so did some amazing Holy Spirit power. He came in a flooded the place with his power and presence. There was no stopping him! It was amazing and eye opening to be a part of it all. There was also no sermon...hallelujah! ;)
This weekend was a crucial one for the young people of Bangor Corps. Some of them made real decisions for Christ for the first time; others re-dedicating themselves. Things are beginning to change here and Holy Spirit is doing a good work.
Please pray that these teens will learn what to do next. That they will have the courage to ask questions and be open to receiving the answers, that they will be strengthened by this Corps, its leaders and those around them, that they will keep praying and pressing into prayer, listening to what God is saying to them, and that they will be able to hook up with some older, more mature Christians to disciple them and lead them along the pathway of holiness.
Praise the Lord for the Bangor teens!!
