Today, as I sit and prepare to have lunch in the soup kitchen, I think of all my War College session mates - and I smile. Today in the soup kitchen it is tomato soup and grilled cheese day! That is super excited. Brings back memories of Wednesdays at Harbour Light.
Alberta is touching my head *random*
The fight(spiritually) is thick here in Bangor - in Northern New England, really. The soil is hard and satan is lingering above everyone here. Its disgusting. We have been praying the Bible since getting here and its becoming harder. We are sluggish and tired in the mornings - almost as though we don't get enough sleep - but that's not truth, we do. Satan just doesn't want us here. We need to push in harder, God's blessings are big and revival will come in this area.
This morning during PTB a couple verses in 1 Thessalonians(3:11-13) really struck me as I prayed through them -
"May God our Father and our Lord Jesus bring us to you very soon. And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. May he, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen."
God has a desire for us to live holy and blameless lives, and we just cannot seem to accept that. We go on sinning like there is no way around it. There IS a way around it - its called repentance and forgiveness. If we repent our sins, God is and will be faithful and just to forgive us from our sins and cleanse us from all that unrighteousness.
I guess this is where I don't get it. What are people waiting for? I have been praying for a while now that the veil will be lifted off so many peoples eyes - that they will see the goodness that God has waiting for them. That satan will lose his grip on them and they will stomp on him. What a day that will be. PTL.
Blessings.
