Vancouver

Satan is running rampant on the streets of the downtown eastside.

My time at the War College hasn't even officially started and my heart is already breaking for the people here. I have been praying for God to continue to allow that to happen and, not to allow me to become complacent to what is going on around me. I think it would be easy for me to live here, be in community here, yet not see everything that's happening. That cannot happen! That is when satan will attack me and my fellow terrorists the most.

I have never seen streets like those here in all my life. And this is in my country!!! I have seen drugs, prostitutes and homelessness before...but nothing like this. These streets are filled with people smoking up, shooting up, or soliciting themselves. When I say full, I mean JAM PACKED! The Holy Spirit has been working on these streets. AMEN! I cannot wait to continue the work.

*sigh* I wish I were better with words. Its frustrating to know that I have so much to say and cannot easily put them all down for you to read and understand.

My days so far have been somewhat uneventful.

Today I helped Family Services with a BBQ they were holding, so that was a lot of fun. Tonight my 4th roommate arrives....I will be living with Katie, Olivia, and Crystal. We have a wonderful room(much nicer than most), and we are lucky enough to have our own bathroom complete with clean tub and shower!!!
I will have some pictures up and running soon, I hope.

Tonight is my first shift in the War Room - a room of prayer and praise...its very pretty, actually. I'm excited.

Until next time, keep on praying!

Blessings.

how exciting and wonderful!!! You will really come into your own this year, Dee. . you will not be content with 'worship services' after this. . you won't be able to stand it or stomach it. You are developing into a soldier, the likes of which you've never been before and the of which God has always intended you to be.
