Boot Camp

The start of some pictures from my summer in Ecuador.  To learn more about the organization that I travelled with, or to see more pictures(and video) of my team you can visit www.teenmissions.com
Now on with the pictures!  These are not really in any particular order - so I will explain them briefly.

Boot Camp in 2 weeks of training in the swamp in Florida!  Its not what anyone thinks it is...definitely not the pamper camp that most of us are used to attending.  You sleep in tents, where long pants and work boots the entire time(actually for the whole summer!).  Its HOT and full of mosquito's!  Kinda sucky, actually!

Every morning the teams run the Obstacle Course(OC).  These are just of a few pictures of various aspects of the OC.

The dishline where all teams wash their dishes - in silence!  There is no talking in the dishline b/c many people cannot talk and clean at the same time, so talking often holds up the line.  Another rule of TMI is that you eat what you take.  In other words, if its on your plate and its edible, you have to eat it!!  There are 'food nazis' standing at the beginning of the food line to make sure everyone was eating their food - the food nazi job was a favorite of many team members!

More to come soon!
